Richard tutored my daughter who had lost confidence with her GCSE sciences. Richard mainly focused on chemistry, but also helped with biology, physics and even maths when she struggled. He is reliable, punctual, thoroughly prepared for each lesson and has a fantastic relaxed style of teaching, great for my daughter who quickly found her confident again and began enjoying the subjects again. Richard tutored my daughter during yr 11 to boost her confidence for her Maths GCSE. Richard certainly did improve her confidence and made a difficult subject, for my daughter, far more interesting. I wouldn't say that Maths was her favourite subject now but she certainly enjoyed the sessions and was sad to see them come to an end. To begin with I was a bit sceptical about a having another Physics tutor based off of previous experiences, but I decided to give it another shot and found Mr Finnegan. This was the best decision I could have made for A-level physics due to the quick results. I started lessons with Mr Finnegan in January of year 13 as my physics grade had slipped to an unexpectedly low level. After a few lessons I was back on track and my understanding of physics as a whole improved greatly. The range of questions set my Mr Finnegan helped me gain a solid foundation of physics and prepared me for the new spec so I wasn't caught off guard by any question which the exam board threw at me. He explained all topics of the spec in detail including the challenging cpac practical questions and by the end of our time together I found myself answering university level physics questions to further challenge me. Thank you Mr Finnegan!

Both my son and daughter have recently started being tutored by Richard for Maths and Physics. I am very pleased as they tell me they now understand topics they previously had not. I can also see the extra tuition is giving them confidence. They were at first reluctant to have a tutor however Richard has won them over with his calm and gentle approach.
